TARLTON MATSHELA PATA ELECTRIFICATION

This electrification project was a turn key solution involving design, construction and commissioning of an electrical network benefitting 1317 families in an informal settlement.
The Project involved construction of an 11kV MV network, Installation of 19 x 200kVA pole mounted transformers, more than 11 000 meters of ABC bundled LV conductor network, Airdac installation to the houses and the associated split meters installation and commissioning.

THARISA MINE SUBSTATION SWITCHROOM

Design and construction of the Substation Switchroom
Design and installation of all protection schemes based on ABB Relays.
Installation and commissioning of 12 MV Switchgear panels of RPS Switchgear HMVP Assure Panels.

GREENGATE MV ELECTRICAL RETICULATION

The project involved design, construction and commissioning of an MV electrical network to supply electricity to a new development.
Three MV underground MV cables (300 sq mm plus 2x185 sq mm) were installed from Eskom’s Dalkeith (88/11kV) Substation to the new development, a distance of about 4.6km.
Associated equipment were also be installed by RPS Switchgear SA including three Ring Main Units to form a ring and three mini subs of 500kVA each and other network equipment.
This project was handed over to Eskom on completion. All designs, materials specs and workmanship quality were to Eskom standards.

ZIMBABWE ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION COMPANY (ZETDC) COVENTRY

The project involved retrofitting of legacy Reyrolle switchgear and protection relay upgrade.
The 15 panel switchboard saw all SF6 breakers replaced with vacuum circuit breakers.
Existing old electromechanical relays were replaced with IED relays.
Faulty CTs were replaced.
VTs were replaced.
Two new extension panels and a new bus section panel were supplied and installed.
